Elderly Woman Seriously Hurt In Crash

An 86-year-old woman has been seriously hurt after being hit by a car in Verwood.

Police tell us her injuries are not life-threatening after she was struck by a Honda Civic being driven by a 92-year-old woman from Ringwood.

The collision happened at The Chase on Monday afternoon.

The elderly pedestrian has been taken to Poole hospital for treatment and an investigation has now started.
