Flats Evacuated In Poole

A block of flats have been evacuated in Poole.

Dorset Fire and Rescue say they got a call just before 9pm on Tuesday 16th August to Springfield House in Upper Parkstone.

Upon arrival they found a pipe had broken in a freezer unit, causing gas to leak out.

Chemical specialists were called in to dispose of it while 9 residents were evacuated from the building.

No-one was hurt during the incident.
