Internet Campaign To Fight Dog Laws

300 people have joined a Facebook group against new dog control laws in Weymouth.
The borough council has ordered walkers to keep dogs on a lead on certain areas of public land including recreation areas, gardens allotments and parts of Weymouth beach in the summer months.
But dog lovers say the control orders are unfair on responsible pet owners, and if they can't be let off their lead, dogs won't get the exercise they need.
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council say the new laws are fair and that an extensive public consultation was carried out before a decision was made.
