Man JailedOver Gun And Drugs Seizure
A man has been jailed for five and a half years for possessing a gun, ammunition and class A and B drugs with intent to supply in Bournemouth.
Daniel Vincent Smedley, 30, pleaded guilty to the charges at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday 2 November 2012 and was sentenced to five and half years’ imprisonment on the same day.
The court heard that the prohibited items were discovered in a room at a hotel along St Michaels Road, Bournemouth on Saturday 20 October 2012 and Smedley was arrested as a result of the police investigation.
Detective Constable James Lees said:
“This is a great example of diligent policing and working together with the community. As a result a dangerous offender was brought swiftly to justice.
“I hope this sentence serves as a reminder that we will not tolerate such criminal behaviour.
