Detectives in Bournemouth are investigating an attack on a homeless man.
It happened at approximately 5am on Monday 11 November 2013 along Colonnade Road.
The victim, a 24-year-old man of no fixed address, was approached by a group of four men and beaten with a metal bar.
They then stole his mobile phone, a quantity of cash and a train ticket to London.
Police say the victim wasn’t seriously hurt but he still required hospital treatment for minor injuries.
Detective Constable Jon Sainsbury, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was a nasty attack on a man while he walked alone and I am keen to establish exactly what happened.
“Although this robbery happened in the early hours, I am confident there would have been other people in the area at the time that may have witnessed the incident or has details about those responsible.
“Anyone with information is urged to call Dorset Police in confidence urgently.”
Officers say one of the offenders was a black man and the other three were wearing balaclavas.
No one has been arrested.
