Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man was assaulted in the centre of the town.
The incident happened sometime between 9.40pm and 10.30pm on Saturday 9 November 2013 along Westover Road.
The 26-year-old victim from London was walking along the pavement when he was approached by an unknown man and punched in the face.
The attack left him unconscious, knocked one of his front teeth out and has possibly fractured his jaw. Detective Constable Matthew Manners, of Bournemouth CID, said:
“This incident has left the victim with some very nasty injuries which required hospital treatment.
“I am appealing for witnesses and anyone with information about those responsible to contact Dorset Police in confidence as soon as possible.
“The victim was out with friends at a nightclub prior to the attack taking place, and it is believed he was assaulted by an unknown man who may have been part of a group of six.”
The offender is described as a white man with dark hair, around six feet tall and of athletic build.
No arrests have been made.
