Bookmakers are already offering odds that Busted and McFly's joint tour will be cancelled only hours after the chart acts announced they were getting together for a series of gigs.
The new group - dubbed McBusted - features Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd from McFly and James Bourne and Matt Willis from Busted.
Willis said: "It's been nearly 10 years since Busted split. That's a good amount of time for memories to gel in your mind - it's fun to reminisce now, the right moment to revisit those songs. And to do it with McFly makes it more of an event. The coming together of two forces!''
The six-piece, who first got together during one of McFly's tenth anniversary shows earlier this year, have announced a UK tour next April and May.
They will play 11 gigs, including one at the BIC in Bournemouth on Monday April 21st.
But bookmakers Boylesports said it was 2/1 the tour would be cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
A spokeswoman for the firm said: "McFly and Busted have had great fans over the years but they may have grown out of the pop-rock fad by now and Boylesports are offering 2/1 that the tour will be cancelled due to poor sales.''
But the firm is also offering odds of 3/1 that the new band will have a number one hit.
Tickets go on sale on Friday (Nov 15th) - find out more here.
