More charges in Bournemouth Murder Case

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Bournemouth have charged two more people in connection with his death.

A London man and a Bournemouth woman, aged 29 and 22, who were arrested in Westbourne on Wednesday 26th September, have been charged with the murder of Reece James Menzies. 

21-year-old Reece was found dead at his flat, at the junction of Roumelia Lane and Sea Road in Boscombe, on Wednesday 25 July 2012. He had sustained a gun shot wound at around 2.15am that morning.

Three London men – 33-year-old Wayne Stephenson, 22-year-old Keifer Hutchinson and 24-year-old Jarome Parkinson – were charged with Reece’s murder last month.

Detective Chief Inspector Pam TrevIllion, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “The two people that have been charged have been in custody for the last 48 hours, during which time they have been interviewed at length. 

“We have presented details of these interviews as well as evidence gathered over the past two months to the Crown Prosecution Service, with whom we have worked closely.

“I continue to appeal for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward and help us with this investigation by calling 101. All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
