Pensioner Robbed By Men With BB Gun

Detectives in Poole are investigating the robbery of a pensioner in Parkstone.

Two men grabbed hold of a 69-year-old man and demanded money on Langdon Road, near the junction with Alexandra Road at around 11.20pm on Tuesday 28th February.

They threatened the victim, from Poole, with what's thought to be a blue ball-bearing gun. They made off with his wallet in the direction of Ashley Road.

Detective Constable Damian May, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said:

“Incidents such as this are very unusual in this area and I am hopeful that anyone who noticed anything out-of-the-ordinary on Tuesday night will contact me urgently.

“The victim was not injured as a result of this attack, but he is clearly distressed by the incident.”

One of the robbers is of Asian appearance, possibly Indian, aged between 28 and 30, around six feet two inches tall, of a medium build and with stubble on his face. He was wearing a long-length dark grey hooded top.

The second man is also of Asian appearance and is aged between 26 and 28, around five feet ten inches tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a similar grey hooded top to the first man.

DC May continued:

“Anyone who has any information about the two men responsible for this robbery should contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.

“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101.
