Police Use Tasers To Arrest Two Men In Bournemouth

Two police officers have been hurt and a house and two vehicles damaged after a car was stolen in Bournemouth.
At 12.42am this morning a silver VW Passat failed to stop for officers along Wallisdown Road in Bournemouth.
Immediately after, this vehicle collided with a yellow Skoda in Edgehill Road.
The driver of the Skoda and the female passenger received minor injuries in the collision.
The ambulance service also attended to assist all parties involved.
A nearby house and two vehicles also sustained damage because of the impact and the subsequent debris.
A 24-year-old Ferndown man has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences, taking a motor vehicle without consent and assaulting a police officer and a 23-year-old Bournemouth man has been arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without consent.
Both men are currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
During the arrests Tasers were deployed.
Two officers sustained injuries during the incident.
Specialist operational officers were called to the scene to assist in the investigation of the alleged offences. Bournemouth CID will continue with their investigation this morning. Safer Neighbourhood officers are patrolling the area to reassure the public.
