Teenage Head Injury In Bournemouth

Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for help from the public after a teenager sustained a serious head injury at a nightclub in the town and officers are keen to trace a man who may be a witness.

On Friday, 19 August 2011, Police received a report that a 19-year-old Bournemouth man had sustained a head injury following an incident at Klute and Bree’s, along Exeter Road, at 2.30am earlier that morning.

The man was taken to Poole Hospital, where he continues to receive treatment.

Detective Constable Emma Smith, of Bournemouth CID, said: "At this time, it is not clear exactly how the man came to sustain his injuries – the full nature of which were not discovered until a few days later.

"I am now able to release an image of a man who we believe was in the area at the time of the incident and who might have important information that may help me with this investigation.

"I must stress that the pictured man is not a suspect and he should not be concerned about contacting us – in confidence – at the earliest opportunity.

"I am appealing for this man, and anyone who recognises this man, to contact me as soon as possible."
