Two Men Attacked In Bournemouth

Two men have been assaulted in Bournemouth, leaving one of them needing hospital treatment.

The incident, in which two Bournemouth men were attacked by three men, happened outside the cash point area of the Bournemouth International Centre along Exeter Road at around 12.10am on Friday, 4 February 2011.

One of the victims, aged 22, sustained bruising to his head.

The other victim, aged 23, was not injured.

Detective Constable Mark Shields, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said:

 “Both victims fled from their attackers in the direction of Bournemouth pier.

“The 22-year-old man was treated at Poole Hospital after he sustained nasty swelling to the head.”

No description of the offenders is available.

DC Shields continued: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this attack, and anyone with any information about the three men responsible, to contact me as soon as possible.

“Anyone who noticed any unusual behaviour in the vicinity of the BIC at around 12.10am on Friday, 4 February is should contact me – in confidence – urgently.”
