Underwear Stolen From Washing Line

Police in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after items of women's clothing were stolen from a property in the town.

The incident, in which two pairs of women's underwear were stolen from a washing line in a garden on Alexandra Terrace, took place at approximately 7.55am on Monday 26 March 2012.

The offender is a white man and is believed to be between five feet seven inches and five feet nine inches tall. He was wearing a grey hooded top during the theft.

Police Constable Jess Chapman, of Dorchester police, said: "The offender stole two pairs of women?s underwear from a washing line in a garden in Alexandra Terrace.

"He left the garden through a gate at the back which leads into an alleyway.

"I would encourage anyone who witnessed this incident, or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around Alexandra Terrace, to contact Dorset Police."
