Woman Threatened With Sex Attack

Detectives are looking for a man after a woman was threatened with a serious sexual assault in Ferndown.

It happened at approximately 10.30pm on Tuesday 29 January 2013.

The victim, a 20-year-old Bournemouth woman, was driving on her own near to the Dudsbury Golf Course along Christchurch Road when a man came out of the bushes and forced her to stop the vehicle.

The man went to the passenger side door, entered the vehicle and threatened to seriously sexually assault the female motorist.

The victim screamed, causing the offender to leave the car. He ran in the direction of Hobbycraft.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Detective Constable Jon Sainsbury, of Poole and Bournemouth CID, said:

“This was a frightening incident for the victim.

“I am now able to release an e-fit of a man I am keen to speak with.

“We are very concerned about this man’s behaviour and urge any witnesses or anyone who recognises him to contact police urgently.

“I would also urge the man pictured to make contact with Dorset Police.”

The offender is described as white, with a pale complexion, approximately 50 years old, about five feet eight inches tall and of medium build. He has short dark hair and a moustache. He was wearing a long sleeve army fleece with a three-quarter zip and black woolly gloves.
