A 14 year old boy has been attack and robbed by four men in Luton.

It happened at 6.10pm on Monday the 12th November.

The teenager was walking along Park Street towards Riley’s Snooker Bar when he was grabbed pulled into Vicarage Road Car Park.

He was then punched continually around the head before one of the snooker cues he was carrying was taken from him. The offenders then took turns to hit him around the head with the cue until it broke in half.

They then stole his Blackberry mobile telephone, an iPhone, and a “Harlequin” multi coloured diamond patterned cue case containing a John Pains mint condition cue.

The case enclosed a message from Carl Morris (a high level pool player).

All four offenders ran from the scene up Gloucester Road, and towards Manor Road.

The officer in charge of this investigation, Detective Constable Joanna Bosson, is keen to trace witnesses to this incident.

DC Bosson said:

"This young person suffered cuts and bruising to his face and it will take some time for him to come to terms with what happened to him. The sentimental value of the case and cue means more to the victim than the material cost. He has been playing pool most of his life. This is not just a hobby for the victim, but he plays for the county and is hoping to make the England team.”

 She continued:

“I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward and help with this investigation.  I would also appeal directly to a man wearing a high visibility jacket, between 40-50 years of age, who we believe was in the area at the time of the robbery and who spoke to the victim. I would reassure this person that he has done nothing wrong but we need him to come forward as he may have information that is vital to this investigation.”
