Police in Luton are appealing for information after a 14 year old student was robbed of his mobile telephone yesterday (Wednesday 23 March).
The incident happened at approximately 6:00 pm in Sylam Close, Marsh Farm as the victim was walking towards the Purley Centre and was approached by a man who shouted 'Hey, hey – have you got the time?'
The offender then lunged towards the victim and forced him to the floor where he pulled at the victim’s trousers before the victim handed over his black coloured Blackberry Curve 8520.
It is believed the offender was with a second man who watched as the robbery took place.
The first offender is described as a black youth, approximately 16 years old, 5’9” tall, with a slim build, stubble around his mouth, a dark complexion. He was wearing a black hooded top and bottoms, black footwear.
The second youth is described as white, approximately 16 years of age, 5’10” tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a white hooded top.
The officer in charge of this investigation, PC Matt Shepherd of Luton’s Robbery Squad is keen to trace anyone who can help identify the pair from the above descriptions.
