Appeal after woman sexually assaulted

Rape investigators in Luton are appealing for help from the public after a woman was attacked last month.

Although a man has been charged with the sexual assault, which happened at ten to midnight on January 11, officers are hoping members of the public may have vital information.

It happened happened in New Town Road andanyone who saw a man loitering in the area of New Town Road Luton between 9.15pm and 11.50pm is asked to come forward and help with this investigation.

Detective Constable Gemma Ebberson, investigating, said: "Although a man has been charged in connection with this offence it is important that anyone with information about what happened that night should come forward and speak to the police and tell them what they know."
