Bedfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward after a robbery was reported on Tuesday afternoon (May 3rd).

The incident happened in Ashton Road, Luton after the 17 year old victim answered a knock at the door and spoke to a man who was looking for another person.

At approximately 12.15pm three men again knocked on the door and when the victim answered they pushed by her and her father, threatened them both with a knife and forced them to the floor before searching the property.

All three men, who are described as black, then left the scene taking a gent’s Aviator watch and a gent’s gold watch valued at £800.

DC Claire Long, investigating, is keen to speak to members of the public who may have seen the men in the area.

DC Long has been telling Heart: “Tuesday was a warm day and we believe one of the offenders was wearing a black and white bandana over his face and a distinctive khaki jacket with fur around the collar which would have looked out of place on such a warm day.

“I would also appeal to anyone who is offered a second hand gents gold watch to also come forward and help with this investigation.”

Anyone with information can contact DC Long at Luton Police Station, in confidence, on 01582 394280, or text information to 07786 200011, or contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
