Armed Men Rob Family In Broad Daylight

Knifepoint robbers steal pushchair and other items from dad whilst he was out walking with baby and toddler.

The 31 year old man was walking with his children in Oakwood Road, Dunstable on Monday morning when he was approached by two men who threatened him with a knife and demanded property from him.

He handed over his wallet and mobile phone, but the men demanded more and started to pull at a pushchair containing his 7-month-old son. He was able to pull his son out as the attackers dragged the pushchair away and ran off with the stolen items towards Sundown Avenue. (Also walking with the victim was his other son aged 2½ years.)

The investigating officer, Detective Constable Barry Kerr, said, "This was a frightening incident for the father and his two small children. The fact these thieves would grab at the pushchair even though it contained a baby, just beggars belief. I urge anyone with information about this incident to contact me as soon as possible."

The attackers are described as: (1) Male, black, aged 20 to 25, approximately 5'8"/5'9" and of stocky build. He had short black hair, was carrying a small knife and wearing a black jacket and light blue jeans with dark patches. (2) Male, black, aged 25 to 30, slim build, wearing a baseball cap with a 'New York Knicks' logo, a black hoodie, navy 't' shirt and white jeans.

These are good descriptions - do you know these people?

The stolen goods are: A black and grey Silvercross pushchair, a nondescript baby changing bag, a blue Nokia 601 mobile and a Next wallet.
