Boy Needs Surgery After Knife Attack

A 15 year old is in a serious condition in hospital after he had his face slashed with a knife in the early hours of this morning.

Police say the incident happened at around 12:30am.

The boy was outside his family home in Catsbrook Road in Luton when he was approached by a man who immediately launched an attack, slashing his face with a knife, causing serious injuries.

The victim has been taken to the L&D and is expected to undergo surgery today.

Bedfordshire Police have not released a description of the attacker other than the face that he is male.

Detective Constable Dan Matcham is the officer in charge of the case. He’s says:

“This is a vicious assault causing a serious injury that could possibly scar this young man for life. We need to catch this attacker and I appeal to the public for their help.

“If you were in the Catsbrook Road area between midnight and 1:00am this morning and saw anybody hanging about for no apparent reason, or anyone who witnessed the assault, please get in contact with us. We would also like to hear from anybody who knows the attacker or who may have information about why the incident occurred.”
