Biography

21-year-old Jack Waller has made big steps since his senior international debut in 2007.

The centre forward has signed a professional contract with German club SV Wieden for the 2010/2011 season and considers the best part of playing in Germany to be “the food”.

With aspirations to compete in the Olympics, Jack believes that to be a good Water Polo player you should always be willing to learn.

When did you begin playing water polo: When I was 11.

First senior international match/tournament: Holland 2007.

Aspiration: Olympics 2012 and to finish in the top four in the German National League.

Tip for the top: Enjoy it and always be willing to learn.

Have you won any awards: All Star Team at the Pan pacific Games in 2005. MVP and top goal scorer in a tournament in Portugal. MVP in a tournament in Germany.

Water polo role models: Radu Cosmin.

Best thing about playing for your professional club: The food.

Biggest influence on career: Family.

If I wasn't a water polo player I would be: Fat!

Favourite music: Relaxing music and grime.

Describe yourself in three words: Easy-going, funny, outgoing.

Would most like to meet: David Beckham, Katy Perry.

Favourite sports team: Tottenham Hotspur.
