Biography

My name is Mervyn Luckwell, and I'm based at the UK Athletics National High Performance Centre in Loughborough, where I train as a full time athlete. My ultimate goal is to represent Great Britain at an Olympic Games and feel that achieving this honour in 2012 at a home Olympics would make the experience extra special.  I am currently training 11 times a week to help me achieve my goal.

I like going to the cinemas to watch films with my girlfriend. I love to watch any type of sport.  I am a keen Chelsea Football Club Supporter as well as following Milton Keynes Dons and my local Rugby Team Northampton Saints. I played for Milton Keynes Rugby Club from the age of 7, moving through the age groups to senior level, before taking up athletics full-time.
