Police investigating a burglary at the Lister Hospital this weekend are urging caution to anyone who may be in possession of, or find the items that were stolen.

The burglary is believed to have taken place between 5pm on Friday (March 18) and 9am today (Monday, March 21) at the Maternity Unit.

The items were stolen were vials of Atropine, Adrenaline and Amiodarone.

PC Chris Surgey said: “These drugs are predominantly given to patients in cardiac arrest and if they were to be administered to a healthy person they could have potentially fatal consequences.

“I would urge anyone who knows who may be in possession of these items, or anyone who may come across them, to contact police immediately.”
