Duke of Edinburgh Visits Stevenage

The Duke of Edinburgh has been in Stevenage today to see exhibits and events by local businesses and school children.

His visit to the Business and Technology Centre was due to take place in the summer but had to be postponed when the Duke fell ill.

When His Royal Highness arrived the Lord Lieutenant and the Countess of Verulam welcomed him

He then went on to meet a number of town representatives including the Mayor and the Chief Exec of Stevenage Borough Council.

He then spent 45 minutes inside the centre where he saw a local schools Enterprise Awareness Event and an exhibition from local businesses including Astrium and the University of Hertfordshire
