Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a burglary on Great North Road in Welwyn on Sunday (April 3).

It happened between 9.30am and 8.30pm. One or more offenders have gained access to a house, which is near the North Star pub, and stolen a number of items.

Stolen items include:
• A silver Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop.
• An advent black and grey laptop.
• A diamond and yellow gold tennis bracelet.
• An Accurist watch with a Mother of Pearl face and gold dots for the numbers.

PC Richard Brain, investigating, said: “I would encourage anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the house before or during the time the burglary took place, or who has any other information in relation to this crime, to contact me.

“The incident would have happened at a time when the nearby pub would have been busy with customers for Mother’s Day and they may have seen some suspicious activity around the house, opposite the pub.

“Alternatively, if anyone tries to sell you items matching these distinctive descriptions, I would encourage you to get in touch."

Anyone with any information on this crime should ring PC Brain via the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers (an independent charity) anonymously on 0800 555111.
