Man Arrested Over Attempted Murder

A man's been arrested in connection with a shooting which happened in Olympic Close in Luton in September 2010.

Members of the public called the police after they found a victim on the pavement with three gunshot wounds. It's thought the shooting happened at about 10.30pm.

The victim is still in a serious condition in hospital.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday 5th April on suspicion of Attempted Murder. He's the third person to be arrested in connection with the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Ross, who's leading the investigation, said:

"This investigation is still on-going and we will leave no stone unturned to find out who was responsible for this shooting. We are still appealing to members of the public to come forward with information and I would reassure anyone who wishes to speak to the police that they can do so confidentially. Every piece of information given to us will be pursued to ensure this investigation reaches a satisfactory conclusion and those responsible are put before the courts."
