Murder Investigation In Luton

A murder investigation has been launched in Luton after a widower in his late 60's died from head injuries.

He was attacked in a house in Vespers Close at 6.15 on Saturday evening.

The man, who lived alone, was taken to the Luton and Dunstable hospital, where he died.

Scenes of crime officers examined the house and other police made house to house inquries in the area.

Luton murder investigationTwo men have been arrested and one has been released on bail.

Police are on guard outside the house this morning (Monday June 27th).

A post mortem carried out on Sunday revealed the man died from head injuries. He is expected to be formally identified today.
