Masked robbers forced their way into a Luton house, tied up a mother and her 13 year old son and threatened them with a knife.

The men forced their way into the house in Telscombe Way at around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon.

They tied up the 45 year old mother and her son while they stole gold jewellery and cash.

The men, one black and two white, are believed to have been in their early 20s and were wearing black clothing and masks over their faces.

The officer in charge of this investigation, DC Claire Long, of the South Bedfordshire Serious Crime Investigation Team, is keen to trace anyone who saw or heard anything unusual in the area at the time of the incident.

DC Long said:

"During the ordeal both victims had their hands tied together and were threatened by the offenders. This was a traumatic experience for the victims who were left shocked by what had happened.

"I would urge anyone who was in the area yesterday lunchtime and saw or heard anything unusual to come forward and help with this

investigation. I would also appeal to anyone who can help identify the three men responsible to contact the police."

Anyone with information about this crime can contact DC Long, in confidence, on 01582 473286, or Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
