Boat Fire On Norfolk Broads

Firefighters were called to the Norfolk Broads on Saturday evening after a boat with nine people on board caught fire.

The blaze had started in the boat's engine compartment at around 6:35pm in the Wroxham Area.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue sent four crews plus a boat to assist, however the fire had been extinguished before the brigade arrived. 

The team used the surface rescue boat to take the people on board to safety on land. The "stop" came in at just after 9pm.

No one was hurt.
