A man has died following a crash that shut part of the A47 in Norfolk for around four hours.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to Hethersett at 1.45pm yesterday (Saturday 11 April) after two vehicles collided on the westbound carriageway.

A male driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene. No-one else was hurt.

The A47 was closed to traffic so the emergency services could clear the scene and carry out initial investigations into the cause. It reopened at around 6pm.
