Man taken to hospital after serious road traffic collision on A143 Haddiscoe
A man was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition after a car crashed into a ditch on the A143 at Haddiscoe, at aroud 7.10 pm, yesterday evening.
Crews from Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service managed to rescue two patients from the vehicle who were then assessed by a volunteer critical care paramedic from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service charity who had been mobilised to the scene.
The SARS CCP working with paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service treated a male patient in his thirties who had gone into cardiac arrest.
Using an automated chest compression device the SARS CCP managed to resuscitate the patient who was then transferred to the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital by a helicopter from the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
The other patient was also assessed at the scene but is thought to only have minor injuries.
