Man from Norfolk found on fire dies in hospital

A man from Norfolk who was found on fire outside a homeless hostel in Peterborough has died in hospital.

Cambridgeshire Police said the man, found outside the YMCA in Wellington Street, Eastgate on Thursday morning, died in hospital on Friday evening.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner.

The man, who police described as in his 20s, was initially taken to Peterborough City Hospital by ambulance then airlifted to a specialist burns unit in Chelmsford, Essex.
