Detectives have launched a murder enquiry following the death of a woman in Norwich on Saturday.
It’s after officers were called shortly before 2.30pm following reports for the concern for the safety of a woman at a property in Godric Place. Upon arrival, the body of a woman was discovered.
An investigation was launched and a seal has been placed at the scene whilst enquiries continue.
A Home Office post mortem examination was carried out this afternoon, Sunday 30 July, and has concluded that whilst the cause of death is still pending further investigations, the victim appears to have been subjected to a sustained assault.
Two men and one woman were arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody for questioning where they remain at this present time.
A/Detective Inspector Neil Stewart, who is leading the enquiry, said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and working to establish the sequence of events which led to this woman's death.
"There are a significant number of lines of enquiry which we will continue to pursue over the coming days which will include house to house enquiries in the local area."
