Two teenage boys have been arrested after flaming missile was thrown in front of a bus in Henniker Road in Ipswich last night (01/03)
The 17 year olds are being questioned on suspicion of criminal damage with intent to endanger life.
Around 7.40pm police received a call about anti-social behaviour in the Henniker Road area. As officers attended this incident a second call was received reporting stones had been thrown at a bus in the area and a window had been smashed.
It was then discovered that a missile - thought to be a bottle filled with an accelerant that had been set alight - had been thrown in front of another bus.
The boys are currently in custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where they are being interviewed by officers.
It's thought there may have been other anti-social behaviour incidents during the early evening and police are asking anyone who was in the area between 6pm and 9pm last night who may have any information about what happened to call PC Matt Kidd-Stanton at Suffolk Police on 101, quoting reference IW/15/713.
