Two Men Die In Lowestoft House Fire

Two men have died following a fire at a home in Stanley Street in Lowestoft this morning.

Police were contacted by the fire service just after 1.15am this morning

Two men – one aged 60 and the other 62 – were taken to the James Paget hospital but both died a short time later.

The fire is not thought to be suspicious.

A report will now be prepared for the coroner and inquests will be opened in due course.

A police and fire investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway and a cordon is currently in place at the scene.
