Dave & Heidi surprise The Hamlet Charity

It was an amazing moment for local Norfolk children’s charity The Hamlet when Dave & Heidi surprised them with a cheque for £45,500, raised by Heart and Global’s Make Some Noise.

The Hamlet provides a wide range of activities for over 450 children and adults in Norfolk with profound disabilities and complex health needs each year, as well as providing support for parents and carers.

The money raised will fund the cost of a Lead Practitioner for 2 years, delivering life-changing support to children and their families.  As well as this, this money will provide new soft play equipment and support staff to help the charity care for even more families.

Pauline Morgan, Chief Executive at The Hamlet said: “We’re overwhelmed by the generosity of Heart and its listeners.  We knew we were getting a grant for £30,000 from Global’s Make Some Noise and they surprised us with an extra £15,500, taking the total to £45,500 and completely surpassing our expecations.  We want to thank everyone who kindly donated, it really does make a difference!
