The world's oldest marathon runner has completed his latest challenge.

100-year-old Fauja Singh finished the Toronto Marathon in Canada in 8 hours, 25 minutes and 16 seconds.

The Ilford man only started running 11 years ago after the deaths of his wife and son.

He trains every day, running 10 miles and says his success is down to ginger curry, cups of tea and "being happy''.

Fauja holds the world record for the men's over-90 category after completing the 2003 Toronto marathon in five hours and 40 minutes.
