The husband of a woman who died following an argument in Braintree says his wife was the 'light of his life'.

65 year old Valerie Ager [pictured - right] died on the morning of Wednesday the 4th of January.

According to Essex Police, Mrs Ager died following a verbal argument between two dog walkers.

A post-mortem failed to reveal the cause of her death and more tests are due to be carried out.

Detectives are treating her death as a suspected manslaughter offence.

Mrs Ager's husband, Robert, has paid tribute to his wife.

He said: "My beloved wife Val was tragically taken from me on Wednesday, 4th January, 2012.

She was a loving and caring wife to me for nearly 44 years.

She was the light of my life and now I am in a dark world.

She loved her dog, Amber, whom she adored and also loved being in her garden and planting out her hanging baskets.

She had many friends, who all miss her so much, she did not have a bad word to say to anyone."

A 39 year old man, arrested in connection with the death of Mrs Ager, has been released on bail until next month.
