A mother from Clacton is calling for a knife amnesty after her son was stabbed to death at a house party six months ago.
17-year-old Jay Whiston was stabbed in the heart and abdomen when a fight broke out at a party in Marlowe Way just after 10pm on September 8th, 2012.
He died a short time later in hospital.
So far Essex police have arrested and bailed eight people as part of their investigation into his death.
A team of detectives have also taken more than 400 statements, examined 72 mobile phones and submitted numerous exhibits for forensic examination.
Caroline Shearer has been telling Heart it's heartbreaking no-one has been charged yet: "I know things take time but what people don't realise is that this time is hell.
"Every single second is hell. And I just don't know now what is going to happen, no-body does."
"I'd like to see amnesty bins. They've got laws in place to implement the laws, not just a slap the wrist. This is just the tip of the iceburg and this is not going to stop."
