Police say a cyclist has died following this morning's collision on the A127.
Emergency services were called just before 8 this morning to the Southend-bound carriageway (eastbound A127) following reports of a collision between a van and a cyclist near the Dick Turpin Pub.
The cyclist, a man in his 30s, from Chadwell Heath, died at the scene.
A 42 year-old driver from Tonbridge in Kent, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody for questioning.
