An elderly woman has died, nearly four weeks after she was hit by a lorry in Hullbridge.
The 87-year-old, from the village, suffered serious leg injuries after it happened in Rydal Close, at around 11:50am on November 4th.
She was struck by a blue Mercedes refuse lorry which was collecting rubbish in the area at the time.
The woman was taken to Southend Hospital for treatment but died there yesterday morning.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are continuing with their enquiries.
