Takumi Ake is raising money for the British Red Cross' relief efforts in Japan.

The Chelmsford City midfielder has described the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear explosions in his home country as "like something out of a film."

Although his family and friends are fine, the 26-year-old's set up the 'Tako Fund' to do what he could to help.

Tak said: "Since the earthquake happened I've been thinking about the ways I can help Japan. I'm fortunate enough to play football in this difficult time. Everyone's behind me and it's an absolutely amazing feeling."

More than £2,000 has already been raised via www.justgiving.com/tako
