Essex Police say a lot of antique items have been found which could have been stolen during burglaries in Barking, Wickford, Newham, Redbridge and Basildon over the last three months.
They recovered the items on June 17th, and many will probably be sentimental to their owners.
Amongst the items are: a large quantity of foreign notes including US dollars, Russian, Yugoslavian and Greek currency, medals, a Wharfedale and Ripspeed car stereos? a Creative Zen old-style white MP3 player, mobile phones and a black leather wallet.
Most notably, a solid silver-coloured ornamental teapot was recovered. Most unusually, an antique solid sterling silver rabbit rattle with a mother of pearl handle was recovered, and on its own is thought to be worth a considerable amount of money.
Dc Stephen Cross said: "Some of these items clearly mean something to somebody, and we are particularly keen to trace the owners of the teapot and rattle, which could possibly be family heirlooms. If you recognise any of the items pictured or described, please get in contact with us."
If you think any of the items are yours, please call Dc Stephen Cross at the Basildon target offender team on 101.
