A 17-year-old youth from Essex arrested for throwing a £1 coin at a bus door is considerably worse off after being fined £335.22p.
The teenager, from Loughton, was charged with causing criminal damage to a bus in Loughton High Road on Monday August 8.
He appeared before magistrates in Chelmsford on Thursday, and was handed a six-month referral order and the fine - which had to be paid before he left court, Essex police said.
