Flats Destroyed In Fire In Heybridge

Three flats have been destroyed in a fire in Heybridge.

Four fire crews were called to the three storey building on Wood Road at 8.40pm yesterday (Sunday 15th June).

The fire was in a second floor flat.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus are using one hose reel jet and one main jet to tackle the fire.

The fire was extinguished by 10.14pm 22:14hrs

All three flats in the block have been destroyed and two men were treated by paramedics for breathing in smoke.

An investigation to find out how the fire started will now be carried out.
