An art gallery, which is being dubbed 'the smallest in the UK', has now been opened in a phone box in Great Braxted.

29 pieces of art from villagers and friends are now posted all over the red booth which is situated just outside the DuCane restaurant on Tiptree Road.

The DuCaneOrganiser and artist, Euan Boyd-Wallis says: "The response from both professional and amateur artists that I received from my call for paintings was very encouraging and as a result I have enough paintings to make regular changes to the pieces of art on display.

"This I shall do and hope that it encourages return visits to the gallery. I also hope that artists will continue to produce new paintings to ensure that the project is a long standing one."
