Guard Threatened With Knife In Harlow

A man has been arrested after a robbery from a building site in Harlow where a security guard was threatened with a knife and then locked in a kitchen.

Police were called to a development behind the Garden Tiger pub in Fishers Hatch at around 7.50am on Friday.

The security guard had reported a man had threatened him and locked him in the kitchen at around 11pm the previous day and the stolen around £2,000 worth of power tools.

Officers then carried out house-to-house enquiries and arrested a 29 year-old man on suspicion of burglary.

He has since been released on bail until Tuesday, 12 May. The tools have been recovered.
