An Essex man who used to weigh 26st 2lb has won a slimming award after losing a staggering 10st 2lb.
Marc Littlejohn, 30, from Halstead, has scooped the super fit male slimmer gong at this year's Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Magazine slimmers of the year awards.
Mr Littlejohn decided to change his life and join a Rosemary Conley diet club after getting stuck in a turnstile at a football match.
"Being a crowd of lads they all started laughing,'' said Mr Littlejohn, whose waist has reduced from a massive 52 inches to a trim 36.
"It tore me apart but the only way past it was to join in. All my life I've been the jolly fat friend and I often got in the fat jokes before anyone else could.''
The award winner hits the gym fives times a week and runs three times a week.
He said: "I had the biggest belly you've ever seen.
"If I'd gone on as I was I would have got bigger and bigger and almost certainly had a heart attack.
"I strongly believe Rosemary Conley, and my instructor Karen Perkins, have saved my life.''
Mr Littlejohn will be presented with his award and £1,000 from Rosemary Conley at a glittering ceremony held at the London Marriott County Hall Hotel today (Wednesday January 4th).
