An Essex woman has set up a new social networking group for local mums to share advice and offer support.

Sarah Jay is a public worker from Thorpe-le-Soken, has a 5 year old daughter and has been single for 3 years.

The 37-year-old's told Heart: "There's nothing actually out there to provide a forum for single working mums in a particular area so they can make contact with and meet other people, arrange socials and find babysitters they can trust.

"It's that daily juggle of trying to be the best mum you can and also being respected in your workplace. Often they can be conflicting pressures especially when you haven't got a partner there to sound off and get advice from."

Sarah's now set up SwimsNet, along with a Twitter and Facebook group, to encourage local single working mums to get chatting.

A special wine tasting launch event takes place at The Bell Inn in Thorpe-le-Soken from 8pm this evening (Thursday April 14th) with prizes like spa days and meals to be won.
