Major Harlow Employer To Relocate

A major employer in Harlow has announced it's to relocate the majority of staff to a new site in Hatfield.

Customer communications management company, Pitney Bowes, employs around 650 staff at the Pinnacles site.

From the middle of next year, 450 of them are being moved to new premises in Hatfield, as the current site is not up to standard and would cost too much to renovate.

Harlow Council has vowed to do everything is can to help the company find a suitable site in Harlow for the remaining staff.

Patrick Jelly, UK Managing Director, Pitney Bowes, said: "After so many years based in Harlow we had hoped to find suitable premises close by but this proved impossible given our space requirements. However, we still aim to remain a major employer in the town."
